Reflections on My Spiritual Reconstruction
My spiritual reconstruction transformed me. In effect, I traded everything I simply believed for one truth I actually know: everyone is related, and everything is connected. It transformed my politics and my spirituality, even my personality.
I'm comfortable with mystery, paradox, and uncertainty. I don’t label myself or others. I focus on behavior and values, not beliefs; I don't evangelize, and I don't allow others to evangelize me.
After losing my religious community, I reconnected with non-religious communities of open-minded people who love unconditionally, whether we are like-minded or not.
