Everyone is related, and everything is connected.

The Golden Rule Demands More than We Think

Oct 16, 2026 by Larry Jordan, in Christianity

In our interconnected life, our relationships should NOT be transactional.

If you suffered and want other people to suffer because 'you turned out fine,' you did NOT, in fact, turn out fine.

Fifteen years ago, I followed Jesus’ advice to the rich young man. I quit my job and sold my house to live a life of service.

I did NOT believe that Jesus was God, or that I would go to heaven. I was NOT motivated by any religious obligation.

A spirituality based on interconnectedness calls for a broader, more compassionate commitment to serving others.

Is there a difference between being a good Christian and being a good person?
